The municipal pool of  Soto del Real is heating for biomass instalation carry out by kaWarna, Energetic Service Company, has performed a installation of termic energy throught biomasa, since last February, heated the pool

The pool has an area of 1.300m2 and energy consumption for heating of 1,200,000 kWh. The installation consists of 2 KWB biomass boilers Powerfire model TDS 300 kW, which offer superior performance to 90% The facility provides heating and hot water services and is fed from a storage silo for the biomass of 55 m3, which gives autonomy to a month. The facility, sponsored by Soto del Real, has a total capacity of 600 kW, represents an investment of  210,719.34 € and will involve a cost savings of 25% over the consumption of a similar facility that works with oil At the time of designing the facility, it was decided it would be interesting also could be used to heat a school and a gym, located in buildings adjacent to the pool. To that end, it has oversized power of this facility in order to provide heat in a near future, also to those other buildings.
